Why Are You Not Losing Weight
It’s nothing new to see people complaining about their failure to lose weight no matter how they tried. The most common reason is simple. Wrong approach. If you are one of those who keep asking “why am I not losing weight?” then maybe it’s time you checked whether your approach to weight loss is the right one for you. Mind you, different weight loss programs work differently in people.
Your first step as we keep on saying is to review your problem of losing weight with your doctor. See whether you are not suffering from type 2 diabetes mellitus. You may also have the same problems every potential weight loser has, did not seek an expert advice before you started, you did not stick to the weight loss routine or you can not afford the regular weight loss exercises. You just can’t lose weight that way. Weight loss requires discipline.
Maybe you should try a particular dietary program and stick to it for a while to see if it works for you. Combine your diet with fruits and vegetables. Do not try different things at the same time. The wisdom of ancient China says “A thousand-mile journey starts with the first step”. Another to support it said “A man walks step by step and not 2 steps at a time”.
If you have been using say, 1% milk that contains a very low amount of fat, then start using skim milk. You might want to incorporate lean protein like fish or chicken. You can also get good proteins from things like beans (some have more/better protein than others) or nuts.
Everyone knows that junk food is not healthy so stay away from snack bars, don’t even have it at home for you may be exposed to temptation. Get motivated.
I am out lining some of these steps because I believe your problem is in either your wrong diet plan or lack of consistency-maybe ignorance too. So you should include some weight lifting exercises into your routine. This weight does not have to be heavy- Cardiovascular exercise is great and plays an important role in reaching your goal weight and maintaining a healthy lifestyle, however, once you stop the exercise you stop burning calories as well. With this you not just burn calories during exercises but continue even after the exercise.
